Please see below this week's notices from the College.
School Buses - Friday 7 April - Easter Holiday
Please be advised that all school buses will be leaving the College at 3.30pm for the Easter holidays. They will resume normal services on Monday 24 April.
Mrs Sue Arpino
After repeated requests, a significant number of boys continue to return to school with unacceptable haircuts. From the start of next term any pupil deemed by the Headmaster or Deputies to have an unacceptable haircut will be sent home immediately. They will take no part in any school activity that day. They will be permitted to return to school only when the cut has been modified.
Guidance on haircuts can be found in the Uniform and Equipment Guide.
On the first day of next term (Monday 24 April) we will be having our School and House photographs. Pupils with unacceptable haircuts will not be allowed to take part in these. I would also ask that pupils come to school that day with clean white shirts and polished shoes.

Deputy Head Pastoral
Year 12 Parents’ Conference
The Year 12 Parents’ Conference is on Friday 28 April (Sports Hall, 3.30pm-6.00pm). Further to last week’s bulletin, whilst not an exeat weekend there will be no games or activities programme, and buses will leave at 3.30pm to accommodate this Conference. We request that all Year 12 parents visit www.shiplake.parentseveningsystem.co.uk where 7-minute appointments with individual teachers can be booked and schedules created very easily. Full instructions can be viewed here and a video demonstration is available here. We respectfully ask that all parents make appointments in this way as it will no longer be possible to see teachers without an appointment. We do hope that you find this facility useful and please contact me should you encounter any problems.
Mr Paul Jones
Assistant Head, Academic Studies

Shiplake College's Lent Project
I would like to thank everyone who donated an Easter Egg for the Salvation Army. I was able to deliver 378 eggs to them, with the help of some senior students from the College. Can I take this opportunity to wish you all a happy Easter.
Rev'd Stephen Cousins
BTEC Music Gig
The Tithe Barn is the place to be tonight! The Year 12 and 13 BTEC Band is going to make sure that you see in the Easter holidays in style. With an eclectic set list featuring Marcus & Quin, Stranded, James Grundy and their very own compositions how could you possibly miss it? Doors open at 6.45pm and the house lights go down at 7.00pm for a few sets that will blow your socks off. Snacks and drinks are available so come on over and chill with the musos!
If you can't be there in person, keep an eye on the Shiplake College Facebook page as we look to livestream for the first time (technical issues allowing!).
Music, Music, Music
Well done to all the musicians who have performed so well at each of the three performances over the last seven days: the Soloists’ Concert, Music for Youth Festival in Oxford and the Spring Concert. Those still standing will be rocking out to make it four in a row tonight in the Tithe Barn.
Photos of the Soloists’ Concert and Spring Concert are available on the website via the links at the foot of this bulletin. Some exciting news about summer projects from the Music Department coming soon!
Mr Richard Curran
Director of Music
If your son or daughter is rowing next term and would like to purchase some Shiplake College Rowing Kit, please follow the links below. This order window will close on 17 April and the kit will be delivered early in May.
If your son or daughter hopes to race for the College this season, the only must-have bit of kit is the rowing all-in-one suit; the other kit listed is nice to have, but by no means essential. Any non-branded black base layers and leggings are acceptable.

Director of Rowing
