Year 9 Internal Assessments
The programme of Year 9 internal assessments will run from Wednesday 17 May – Thursday 25 May. All assessments will take place during lessons and pupils will already have been informed about these assessments. Please find the timetable here and please note that not all subjects are holding an assessment at this time; it is more appropriate for some subjects to assess practical or project work throughout the term.

Assistant Head, Academic Studies
School and House Photographs
The photographs that were taken at the start of term have now been processed and are available to order. You son or daughter should have brought proofs home which contain the details needed to order online. If you have not yet seen these and are interested in purchasing one, please ask them to get the forms from House staff.

Deputy Head Pastoral
On Thursday 25 May 2017, Shiplake College is organising a student sleepout; Years 9 and 10 are invited to experience a little of what it might be like to be homeless whilst raising funds and awareness of youth homelessness.
Students that sign up will be asked to leave technology at home (or in house!) and instead bring along a sleeping bag, pillow and some non-technology based entertainment (such as a guitar or sketch pad) whilst braving the elements and spending the night under the stars. A soup kitchen will offer hot food later in the evening (students may enjoy dinner as usual in Skipwith House before the event begins) and breakfast will be provided the following morning, as well as showering facilities (which, for day boys, will open early in Orchard House).
Monies raised will be donated equally to Centre Point and the Reading Drop-in Centre. We request that all participants agree to raise at least £30.00 each.
To register your interest and to enable your son to participate in this opportunity please complete the following form here. For further information, please email email@example.com
