All Parents and Guardians

Top Academic Progress Ranking – We are pleased that Leighton Park has been ranked as the best in Berkshire and 27th in England for the academic progress of our Sixth Form 2019 Leavers by the Department for Education’s report. The School added an average of 0.6 of an A Level grade to our students’ achievements, securing a ranking of 8th in England when looking at schools with a cohort of at least 50 students. You can read more about the success of our approach here.

Coronavirus Update – Please see the attached letter regarding the approach of the School to the recent Coronavirus outbreak in China. If you should have any queries, please contact Myles Nash, Director of Boarding.

Trees for Life: As a School community we fully embrace the Quaker testimony of sustainability. One of our initiatives is the Leighton Park Grove in Scotland where we are able to plant trees to help mitigate rising CO2 levels and work towards safeguarding a healthy planet for future generations. On 22nd January we celebrated the School’s 130th birthday and were delighted to have already achieved over 130 trees in the Grove. If you would like to celebrate the enduring success of the School by leaving a legacy for the future please do plant a tree in the Leighton Park Grove. Each tree costs just £6 and you can donate here. If you should have any queries, please contact John Burnett, Head of Marketing and Admissions.

Pool Closure for Maintenance Works - Unfortunately, due to unforeseen maintenance issues, the School pool will be out of use throughout the Summer term. We will close the pool at the start of the Easter holidays and hope to re-open ready for September 2020. If you should have any queries, please contact Jeremy Belas, Director of Sport.

Absence Reporting – Please note that any absence should now be reported using the new email address absence@leightonpark.com, copying in the Tutor. Parents should no longer use schooloffice@leightonpark.com, but should direct all other enquiries here. Please see the attached letter from Nicky Hardy, Deputy Head: Pastoral, for more information regarding the reviewed procedure around absence reporting.
