Message from Matthew: Matthew has recorded a message to welcome students back for the Summer Term.

 

LP with You booklet: Last Friday, 17th April you will have received a letter from Matthew introducing our LP with You booklet, this provides you with all the information you need about the enhancements we have made for our Summer Term provision.

 

RSVP Thursday 28th April - Online Parent Workshop: Parent Practitioner, Olga Zilberberg, is now offering her workshops online through Zoom. On Tuesday 28th April from 8.00-9.00pm, she is sharing useful tips to help you manage learning at home. If you would like to join this initial workshop, please complete the online form. You must use this Zoom link to access the meeting with Meeting ID: 990 5275 7579 and Password: 698348. If you should have any queries, please contact Nicky Hardy, Deputy Head (Pastoral).

 

Start of Term: Please note that in a change to previously published advice, students will be returning tomorrow, Tuesday 21st April into their Week 1 timetable.

 

Face Shields Initiative: Last week, we reached the milestone of 12,500 face shield deliveries to local organisations and received £24,000 in donations on our GoFundMe page. You can read more about this in the most recent story, available on our website. If you require this vital PPE or are aware of people in need of face shields, please contact faceshields@leightonpark.com. Thank you for your support. 

 

LP Donate: To support those in need during the coronavirus pandemic, we are collecting donations for our partner organisations. The items urgently needed by 9.00pm on Monday 20th April are toiletries and pillowcases. If you would like to get involved, please see further information on donating and the organisations you are supporting. If you should have any queries, please contact Natasha Coccia, Assistant Head: Director of Co-Curricular and Outreach.

Get Behind Alain’s Fundraising Journey: Our super cyclist Alain in Year 7, is going the distance for the NHS, riding from Reading to Milan in his living room. He is over a quarter of the way to his target! You can support Alain and the NHS over on his Just Giving page.

Face Shields Initiative: In just over a week Leighton Park has become the centre of a huge face shield manufacturing operation, delivering over 12,500 so far. All of this has been made possible by your huge generosity and the support of our willing team of volunteers and 19 manufacturing partners. Blast from the Past: A Vision from the Future.

 

Get Fit: A new term, a new fitness regime! Every Monday in term time our Sport and Wellbeing team will be releasing a pre-recorded family friendly workout for you to use from home to get you and your family members fired up for the week ahead! These will be in addition to the workouts and programmes being run in the curriculum timetable but will replace the daily workouts you have been getting during the holidays. You can additionally catch up on the latest workouts from the department.
