Letters to Parents: This week there have been letters sent to all parents and guardians regarding the Summer Term immunisation programme. Upper Sixth parents have received details of arrangements and opportunities for their sons and daughters and parents in the coming weeks. The Lower Sixth AS Geography Group have been sent a letter regarding plans for taking examinations in November.
LP with You Booklet: Please see our LP with You Booklet for information about the enhancements we have made for our Summer Term provision to the Guided Distance Learning Programme, our pastoral support and our co-curricular offering through LP@Home.
Co-Curricular Programme: Your son or daughter can continue to sign up for as many hobbies in the Remote Co-Curricular Programme as they please, by joining the relevant Google Classroom. If you should have any queries, please contact Natasha Coccia, Assistant Head: Co-Curricular and Outreach.
RSVP Tuesday 5th May - Online Parent Workshop: Tomorrow, Tuesday 5th May, from 8.00-9.00pm, Olga Zilberberg will be sharing useful tips to help you manage parenting throughout Covid-19. If you would like to join this workshop, please complete the online form before 11.00am tomorrow. The Zoom meeting and password will be provided on sign up. Pastoral Support Counsellors: Our School Counsellor is able to run remote sessions for students on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you feel this would benefit your son/daughter, please encourage them to contact SchoolCounsellor@leightonpark.com to arrange an appointment. Rachel Webb, our Pastoral Intervention Practitioner, is also available for students to talk to. Rachel can be contacted via email to arrange an appointment. Parents can also contact Nicky Hardy, Deputy Head (Pastoral), if they have concerns about the provision of pastoral care during this time.
Get Fit: Following a fantastic first session with Judo champion Danny Williams last Monday, we encourage you to join us with your family, this evening from 5.30-6.00pm. The link to attend the class will go live in the Sport, PE and Wellness Google Classroom at 5.25pm, which your son or daughter has access to. This week’s family work out is a Wellbeing Workout with Daisy (Lower Sixth). Face Shields Initiative: As referenced on The One Show and on Healthcare UK Live by Ross Kemp last week our face shields initiative has now delivered over 20,000 face shields to the NHS and keyworkers in the healthcare sector. We have received over £27,500 in donations on our GoFundMe page, thanks to your generosity. Watch You Will Be Found; a video testament to our strong values-based ethos which seeks to champion service education. Our Flickr gallery shows pictures from the DT workshop, our production partners and the recipients we have helped. If you require this vital PPE or are aware of people in need of face shields, please contact email@example.com. Thank you for your continued support.
LP Donate: To support those in need during the coronavirus pandemic, we are collecting donations for our partner organisations. The items urgently needed by 9.00pm, Monday 11th May, are food donations for Whitley Food Bank, If you should have any queries, please contact Natasha Coccia, Assistant Head: Co-Curricular and Outreach.

Fun for Fryers: Every day in the Summer Term!
Congratulations to Charlotte (Year 8) and Sam (Year 10) for their success in the ISA Drama Competition which took place last term. Charlotte claimed, 'Best Middle Girl Performer’ for her performance as Prospero in Shakespeare’s The Tempest, whilst Sam picked up 'Best Senior Boy Performer' for his performance in his original play ‘Extra Time’.
