Message from Medical Wing
Public Health England has seen an increase in the number of cases of mumps in Oxfordshire in May particularly, in the student age population 16-23. The best way to protect you and your child from mumps is to make sure you and your child has received two MMR vaccinations. If you or your child has mumps: contact your GP to confirm diagnosis; stay away from school/work for five days after the onset of symptoms; wash your hands regularly using soap and water and use disposable tissues when coughing or sneezing. For more information please go to NHS choices: www.nhs.uk
