2017 Shiplake College Regatta

All members of the Boat Club will be involved in the 2017 Shiplake College Regatta on Saturday 24 June. This is an internal regatta, where mixed crews are made up to race over 400m outside the boat house. I would like to invite all Rowing parents to come to the boathouse to spectate. There will be refreshments available to purchase on the day from the Shiplake College Boat Club Supporters, including a BBQ. The regatta will begin at 11.00am and finish around 3.00pm.

Summer Concert

The Music Department cordially invites you to the Summer Concert which takes place on Monday 26 June from 7.00pm in the marquee on the front lawn. There will be an interval when refreshments will be served and the concert itself will feature a selection of Lower School and Senior School performances, with a popular theme. It is the perfect community event to round-off the academic year. We all hope to see you there.

Band of the Household Cavalry Visit

You may have noticed the advertisement in last week’s Henley Standard advertising a very special visit to Shiplake College on Tuesday 27 June. The Queen’s own Band of the Household Cavalry will be working with our advanced musicians and guests from surrounding schools all morning on a broad repertoire. The visit will culminate in a 45 minute public performance from 1.45pm in the marquee on the front lawn. If you are in the vicinity and would like to listen to some musicians of the highest level please do drop in and be entertained.
